Sharing the Long Beach Love

Ragan Myers was born and raised in the Long Beach, Washington, tourism community, and it’s easy to hear her enthusiasm for Long Beach and her job. With a face-to-face meeting or phone conversation, anyone could tell that she enjoys talking with people—the thing she loves most about her day-to-day life. Ragan doesn’t think of strangers as strangers, but rather people she’s just not friends with yet.

Although she’s the tourism and events coordinator for the CVB, Ragan is better known as the group queen guru. When a motorcoach group rolls into the area, Ragan rolls out a red carpet to greet the bus. As everyone steps off of the bus, the mayor and some councilmen are there to personally welcome the visitors. Each guest enters a beach bucket giveaway, and on the last day there is a drawing to see who is the winner of the bucket full of Long Beach items. 

There’s a lot more Long Beach offers, but Ragan would love to be the one to discuss it with anyone who wants to know. “I want a face-to-face experience, a phone conversation—I want to have a conversation with you,” Ragan said. “I love it here. I love sharing what we have. What we have is so amazing!”

Long Beach is twenty-seven miles of pure Washington coastline that lies right above the Washington/Oregon border. Ragan says this is a mystery tour destination and has plenty of local town flair and unexpected, delightful surprises.

Ragan notes that although Long Beach is a great place to be, her location faces a lot of confusion as Long Beach is often thought of as the location in California. But she’s is up to the challenge of making Long Beach, Washington, stand out as a great destination for groups seeking a unique experience. If you want to get a hold of Ragan, she’s always ready and willing to talk about the many great things to see and do while visiting the area. After all, she was born and raised there.
