PAWA Dominicana to Launch Flights in United States

PAWA Dominicana will be the first commercial Dominican airline to offer flights to the United States in over 20 years. On November 16, 2016, the airline will begin a new route between Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Miami, Florida.

The airline will offer two daily flights, each day of the week—departing from Las Américas International Airport at 10 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., and from Miami International Airport at 5:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

According to the Dominican Republic Office of Tourism in Miami, the city is one of the busiest destinations to and from Santo Domingo. Additionally, the airline's other routes allow for quick connections to other Caribbean destinations including Curacao, St. Maarten, Antigua, Port Au Prince, Aruba, Puerto Rico and Havana.

New York is the next destination in the airline's expansion plan, which includes flights to San Juan and Puerto Rico from Punta Cana. PAWA Dominicana aims to position Santo Domingo as the Latin American hub for Caribbean travel.

Tickets for the new service between Santo Domingo and Miami are available for purchase online at www.pawadominicana.com
