Boston Duck Tours Celebrates 30 Years
Boston Duck Tours is celebrating 30 years of giving tours and celebratory parades in Boston.
To welcome the arrival of spring, Boston Duck Tours recently kicked off their 30th anniversary with tours from the Museum of Science, Prudential Center and the New England Aquarium.
On October 4, 1994, the company began with an inaugural departure from the Massachusetts State House, operating four original WWII DUCKs. Over the past 30 years, the fleet has grown into a colorful collection of 28 state-of-the-art, purpose-built amphibious tour vehicles which have now officially carried over 12.5 million guests through the city streets of Boston and into the Charles River!
The company is recognized as Boston's most popular tour and carries approximately 500,000 guests each season. Boston Duck Tours has invested in providing the best experience in Boston for visitors far and wide with its new GPS-activated foreign language app that guests can download and use on tour. The app breaks down language barriers, providing imagery as well as narration in languages including Spanish, German, Mandarin, French, Japanese, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean and Cantonese on all tours.
In addition to Boston Duck Tours celebrating this 30-year milestone in 2024, Boston-based company Life is Good is also celebrating the same anniversary. Life is Good is the original positive lifestyle brand dedicated to spreading the power of optimism through art and message. The company donates 10% of annual net profits to The Life is Good Playmaker Project, helping over 1 million kids in need each year. A year-long partnership between these iconic brands includes a Life is Good Duck wrap, commemorative Life is Good apparel, collaborations and surprises.
"It has been a wild ride these past 30 years and a milestone like this deserves well-earned recognition," said Cindy Brown, CEO of Boston Duck Tours. "Our valued Duck crew and partners have been an integral part of our success and we celebrate not only 30 years, but those who brought us here. What better way to mark this season than with the beloved, local brand Life is Good? They, too, embody purposeful work while bringing smiles to those around us."
"Life is Good and Boston Ducks Tours are both passionate about our community and our causes, and we also enjoy blurring the line between work and play", said John Jacobs, Life is Good Co-Founder. "Laughter, fun and optimism got us both rolling 30 years ago, and we're thrilled to celebrate with our amphibious neighbors and the whole city all summer long."
