Enjoy Something Rotten! in Appleton
Hear ye, hear ye! This October, groups can head to Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton, Wisconsin and enjoy the outrageous tale of the world's first musical: Something Rotten! Learn more about opportunities for groups to take in a night of laughter and hilarity—Elizabethan style.
Set in 1595, Something Rotten! tells the story of Nick and Nigel Bottom, brothers who are desperate to write a hit play. When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theater involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world's first musical. With its heart on its ruffled sleeve and sequins in its soul, Something Rotten! is an experience in which groups of all kinds can find joy and humor.
Something Rotten! first opened on Broadway in April 2015 and began its national tour in January 2017. It has since been nominated for 10 Tony® Awards—including Best Musical—and has been nominated for 22 major awards, including the 2016 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.
Now is the best time for groups of 10 or more to secure their seats—at their best price and before available to the general public.
Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is also offering an upcoming opportunity for groups who may not be into musicals, yet enjoy Elizabethan theater. The Reduced Shakespeare Company's zany version of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare takes place Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 7:30 p.m.—and groups of 10 or more can save 20 percent.
