Avoid the Crowds with These Tips and Tricks

Even before the days of the pandemic, having an individualized and custom experience is a top priority of traveling groups. Among the factors that bring that level of experience to the forefront is the elimination of big crowds. The good news? Today, groups have more options than ever before in breaking away from the masses. Keep reading to learn some of the ways how.

EMBRACE TIMED TICKETING.

Now considered a normal standard for attractions and venues, timed ticketing—which limits capacity at any given time—inherently allows groups to enjoy whatever adventure they're seeking in a controlled way. If possible, consider choosing attractions that offer this amenity, as you can be certain crowds won't be waiting for you upon arrival.

TAKE THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED.

Don't underestimate destinations which may fly under the radar! Many lesser-thought of destinations throughout the U.S. are ready to welcome groups of all kinds and offer charming, educational and fun itineraries.

DON'T WRITE OFF THE OFF SEASON.

Consider the "off seasons" a time of opportunity. Not only are you more likely to find discounted pricing, but crowds will also be at a minimum, making your groups feel special and like they've got the inside scoop.

COLLABORATE TO FIND SPECIALIZED OPTIONS.

Work together with your industry partners to learn what custom options for your groups exist. Just because something isn't listed online as an option doesn't mean it can't be arranged. Whether it's dining at a restaurant that doesn't normally take reservations and isn't typically open for dinner hours, or a tour that's a combination of several other options, asking questions could get your groups the VIP treatment.
