Universal Orlando Opens Caribbean-Inspired Resort
Universal Orlando's fifth on-site hotel, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, will welcome its first guests on July 14. Inspired by the picturesque rivers and waterfalls of the Caribbean, Loews Sapphire Falls will immerse guests in a highly themed resort environment using traditional island styling with modern touches.
The resort is directly inspired by magnificent landmarks and architectural ruins from islands throughout the Caribbean—towering stone turrets, beautiful rock walls and a spinning waterwheel accent the tropical landscape and waterway twisting through the property. A resort-style pool with a water slide, children's play area, sand beach and fire pit form a central courtyard surrounded by the hotel's guest rooms. Water taxis and shuttles provide access to all of the entertainment and dining options throughout Universal Orlando Resort.
Loews Sapphire Falls Resort features 1,000 guest rooms (including 83 suites), the largest resort pool at Universal Orlando, with a waterslide, two sand beaches, fire pit and a children's play area, several unique dining experiences, an immersive rum bar with more than 75 different rums from across the Caribbean, and so much more. Amenities include Early Park Admission to Universal's theme parks, a full-service restaurant with scenic views and outdoor dining, a themed lobby lounge, poolside bar and grill, quick-service marketplace, valet service and a fitness center.
