Twilight Tour and Farm-to-Table Dinner
Looking for an enchanted evening adventure at one of Michigan's top historic attractions?
Castle Farms of Charlevoix offers groups an exclusive opportunity to tour and dine at a beautiful castle during twilight hours. Built in 1918, the Castle was originally modeled after the architecture of castles found throughout France. Nearly a century later, the buildings have been restored to their original grandeur.
As the sun begins its slow journey toward nightfall, your group will enjoy a delicious dining experience. A gourmet four-course dinner offered by celebrated caterer A Matter of Taste is served farm-to-table style in the cozy ambiance of the Queen's Tavern. After dining on healthy organic foods provided by local farmers, your guests will begin their private guided tour. The night air offers a cool embrace as they stroll the grounds and Castle buildings escorted by a knowledgeable tour guide. Various exhibits and collections are showcased throughout the rooms, including antique toys, chess sets, castles, and royalty memorabilia from around the world. By evening's end, the moon will have made its appearance, framed against the grandeur of the great stone walls. Photographers will relish the opportunity for breathtaking photos.
The gardens of Castle Farms, with beautifully manicured lawns, seasonal flowers, and ornate formal fountains, rival any of their counterparts found in Europe. The Castle is also home to Michigan's largest Outdoor Railroad, featuring more than 70 G-scale engines steaming over more than a half mile of track.
An enchanted evening at Castle Farms, with a convenient location fifty miles south of Mackinaw and fifty miles north of Traverse, is easily accessible for groups planning trips into Michigan.
