I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost!
This summer, your group travelers can experience the blockbuster movie Ghostbusters on the big screen and through a multisensory, all-immersive exhibit! Sony Pictures, Madame Tussauds New York, Ghost Corps and THE VOID have teamed up to present this one-of-a-kind exhibit. Scheduled to open at Madame Tussauds New York on July 1, 2016, the Ghostbusters exhibit is being referred to as "virtual reality": Visitors will become fully immersed in this multilayered sensory attraction.
This cinematic experience at Madame Tussauds New York will be brought to life through state-of-the-art technology, authentic props, costumes, a vehicle, gadgets and exclusive content designed to spook guests as they move through multiple scenes inspired by the film. Guests will also participate in a ghost hunt of their own, saving New York City from a paranormal villain. Figures from the Ghostbusters movie crew will help visitors wage battle against nefarious paranormal activity.
THE VOID has developed technology through which guests will experience what it is like to be a Ghostbuster, as they track and trap a supernatural foe through a New York apartment complex.
"Who wouldn't want to answer the call, suit up as a Ghostbuster, and blast their way through a ghost-infested New York apartment with a proton pack?" said Jake Zim, Senior Vice President of digital marketing at Sony Pictures. Zim expects guests of all ages will enjoy the thrill of Ghostbusting!
