Enjoy Hagerstown, Maryland!
Nothing marks the return of spring in a more all-American way than baseball.
The Hagerstown Suns celebrate their thirty-fifth anniversary all season long, with special events taking place during Saturday home games. Those start mid-April at Municipal Stadium, one of the three oldest minor league ballparks in the country.
Throughout May, we hold our Annual Museum Ramble! The Ramble includes more than two dozen local museums and historic sites. Most of the participating museums will open their doors free of charge, and many have special surprises planned. The online Museum Ramble brochure includes a list of participating sites and links to a map for ease in developing a self-guided tour. Or, we can prepare an itinerary, customized for your needs!
One of the most historic sites in Hagerstown is the Maryland Theatre. The cornerstone of Hagerstown’s Arts and Entertainment District is one hundred years old this year. It’s an example of classic early movie house construction. Upcoming events at the theater include a Maryland Symphony Orchestra salute to Motown on May 2, and many others! Dine in our Arts & Entertainment District, and walk across the street to a show in this beautiful gem. We also have the Washington County Playhouse, for dinner and a show in one location.
